Be Quiet

I want you to imagine your mind being very quiet. Nothing. You are breathing but not thinking. Your mind is still and at rest. You are sitting in a chair overlooking a lake on a summer morning. No wind. Quiet. The trees behind you are quiet. You can feel the quiet. Be quiet. Open your mouth and breathe through your mouth. Release the yawns. Take a deep breath. Exhale. Enjoy the quiet. This is your destiny.

Now imagine the quiet going into your feelings. For just a moment, imagine your feelings being perfectly quiet. Nothing moving, nothing weighing you down or lifting you up. Quiet.

Now, imagine that quiet moving into your will. It is now a part of who you are. Your map says quiet. The north points to Quiet on your compass. The future is quiet. Your breaths are deep and long and they feel good. Another yawn. Oxygen into your body and quiet into your soul, your mind, feelings and will.

Now, imagine driving to work, quiet. Arriving, greeting, working talking and yet quiet in your mind. Quiet in your feelings. Quiet in your will. There is an incident, but you stay quiet. Quiet in your mind, in your feelings, in your will. The clarity by which you see the incident surprises you. You know what is going on. Not sure how you know, but you know. And later they find out that you were right.

Now you go home. The family surrounds you and you can hear them. You know them and they can feel you knowing them. You are touching their being because you are quiet.

As you lay down to sleep, you are quiet. Sleep gently comes to you and the quiet brings you a great night’s sleep. Quiet greets you in the morning and you are ready for the day.
